The real problem

Still searching for a research question?

You've searched PubMed, skimmed abstracts and asked for ideas — but a clear question may still feel out of reach. The workbook launching November 2 is being built for this exact stage: turning scattered reading into a focused first candidate, not promising an approved topic or a published paper.

CASE 01

Reading without direction

A week of PubMed, thirty open tabs, a folder of saved PDFs — and no clearer sense of what to study than when you started.

CASE 02

The 'it's all been studied' fear

A quiet belief sets in that if you haven't spotted a gap by now, you're not cut out for this part. Nobody taught you otherwise.

CASE 03

The blank topic, closing deadline

A thesis synopsis is due, or your supervisor wants ideas by next week — and the pressure builds the longer the topic stays blank.

This isn't a research-methods gap.

A clearer sequence is coming.

The method

What you’ll work through after launch.

The workbook follows three stages: Find, Formulate and Pressure-test. Each day will give you a defined task, so you can move from a broad interest to one candidate research question. Join the waitlist ahead of the November 2 release.

01Days 1–3

FIND

Find your research territory

  • Turn a broad interest into a searchable focus
  • Run a guided PubMed / Google Scholar search process
  • Build a literature-tracking table
  • Work through the gap taxonomy — population, context, method, outcome
02Days 4–5

FORMULATE

Turn the gap into a question

  • Apply question-framework templates (population, exposure, outcome)
  • Strip out unnecessary complexity
  • Produce 2–3 candidate questions to choose from
03Days 6–7

PRESSURE-TEST

Stress-test your candidate

  • Check relevance, clarity, evidence and feasibility
  • Anticipate the questions a supervisor will ask
  • Complete your Research Question Dossier

Is this for you

Who should join the waitlist?

Join the waitlist if —

  • You're a final-year medical student who needs a project topic and doesn't know where to start
  • You're a PG resident whose thesis topic is still “TBD” with a deadline approaching
  • You're an intern, junior doctor or fellow who wants to begin research but keeps stalling here
  • You're an academic doctor or consultant who wants a structured first pass before committing time
  • You supervise trainees and want a reliable way to help them arrive at topics themselves

This may not be the right fit if —

  • You're expecting a guaranteed publishable, novel or ethics-approved topic
  • You already have an approved research question and have moved past this stage
  • You're looking for a full course in research methodology, statistics or study design
  • You want someone else to hand you a topic, rather than work the process yourself

Questions

Before you join.

Who is this waitlist for?

Anyone pursuing medical research who needs a focused starting question — students, residents, interns, doctors, fellows, consultants and supervisors. The workbook supports a first pass before refining your question with a supervisor.

Isn't seven days too short for something this important?

The seven days refer to the workbook process, not the waitlist. After the November 2 launch, you can work through one guided pass to a candidate question at your own pace. Refining it with your supervisor comes next.

My specialty is niche — will this work, or should I just use ChatGPT?

The process works the same way across specialties, because it's about how you read literature, not which field you're in. And a ChatGPT topic list can hand you ideas, but it can't tell you if they're already answered or feasible with your data — that check is what this workbook does.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

Your name and email are saved for updates about the November 2, 2026 launch. Joining is free; you are not purchasing or reserving a paid copy. When it launches, the product will be a digital PDF workbook with worksheets, checklists and templates for all seven days.

When can I buy the course?

The 7-Day Research Question Finder launches on 2 November 2026. Join the waitlist to get first access at the founding price of ₹1,999. The price will go up after the founding batch.
